To the point: I decided to finally post the Madre Tierra (Mother Earth's Textures) series after trying and failling to expose it many times in a gallery. I kinda see why the cause of this failure now, most of the images are blurry, or most likely, the slide is out of focus when reflexed in the girl's body, but I like this work anyway, and that's why I'm posting it now. This series was part of an school project, and I conceived it after seeing a friend projecting an slide of a man's face on a nude woman. I liked the technique and decided to try it with textures, then I thought of using only natural textures, which added to a woman's body, became a representation of Mother Earth. After that, I thought that Earth would not be made only of textures but of landscapes as well and I included them in the project. Most of the textures and all of the landscapes were shot a single day, al Lagunas de Zampoala, Mexico. Of course, all of them were shot on slide film which I afterwards developed. The actual session with the model lasted about 3 and half hour and was shot with a digital camera. Post production included color management and some cloning to fix details.
So here it is the entire Texturas de la Madre Tierra series, please enjoy
After completing the summit of the series I'll turn to a completely different kind of work which includes photomanipulation and possibly more HDR, as I'm in quite an experimental mood right now
